Wizard of Legend 2, the action-packed roguelite sequel to the critically acclaimed original, launched into Early Access last week on October 3. With the launch behind it, developer Dead Mage and publisher Humble Games are excited to unveil the roadmap of future updates to the game over the coming months as the team builds towards Wizard of Legends 2’s 1.0 release.
Building on what players loved about its predecessor, Wizard of Legend 2 features new features like enhanced 3D visuals, 2-player co-op, new and familiar Arcana to master and plenty of replayability thanks to its roguelite structure of trials to take on in the Floating Lands. Your journey through the Floating Lands is fraught with danger, and only by harnessing and mastering the chaotic elemental forces of Arcana, can you ascend to the coveted rank of Wizard of Legend.
The team behind Wizard of Legend 2 has revealed a roadmap outlining the community-driven changes and content updates planned for the game. Players can look forward to new features such as 4-player co-op, two additional biomes, new elemental bosses, and an expanded arsenal of Arcana, Relics (with variants and enhancements) and medallions. Expect more contracts, more cosmetic customization options (including masks, robes, and symbols), and more charms and difficulty settings, too; and of course, the lore and story of Wizard of Legend 2 will continue to expand as the game approaches 1.0.
Wizard of Legend 2 Early Access Features:
Enhanced 3D Visuals: Experience the vibrant Floating Lands, a brand new setting for this sequel with stunning new 3D graphics that bring the world’s dynamic magic to life.
Co-Op Magic: Team up with friends in 2 player co-op at launch, with plans to expand to 4-player co-op in future updates. Whether you choose local or online play, coordinating with allies will be key to conquering the trials.
Master New and Familiar Arcana: Command a range of elemental powers including fire, water, earth, lightning, air and chaos. Discover new Arcana and experiment with spell combinations that can drastically alter your gameplay.
Roguelite Replayability: Each trial is uniquely challenging, with procedurally generated elements and a persistent progression system. Expect around 10-15 hours of gameplay, but with the roguelite structure, replayability is endless.
Community-Driven Development: The shift to Early Access comes in response to valuable feedback from the Steam Next Fest demo. The development team is committed to using this feedback to refine and enhance the game, ensuring that Wizard of Legend 2 delivers the best possible experience.
Trial-Ready Gauntlet: Navigate the ever-shifting gauntlet conjured by Hieronymus, Lanova’s wizard supreme, and encounter a diverse array of trials overseen by the enigmatic members of the wizarding council.
Wizard of Legend 2 launched into Early Access via Steam on October 3. The final two biomes, 4-player co-op, and other features will be added in the full 1.0 version of the game, but today’s roadmap reveals plenty of new additions you can expect before that. Purchase the game on Steam and be sure to follow developer Dead Mage on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as the official website. Join the community, shape the game’s development, and embark on your journey to become the next Wizard of Legend!
