The original trilogy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008) and Call of Prypiat (2009), is now available on Nintendo Switch.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. takes place in a fictional Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Power Plant in 1986 wasn’t the only one to occur, as the second explosion hit the reactor in 2006, creating The Zone as we know it. It’s a dangerous place, filled with mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy.
Bounty hunters delve deep into the Zone, driven by its treasures and mysteries. Some of them are running from their past, others are blinded by money, and some are obsessed with finding the truth behind all the mysteries.
Investigate the Zone's origins, taking on the roles of legendary stalkers and forging paths that can lead to different outcomes, based on your actions and decisions. Test your gumption while navigating through radioactive debris and anomalies, and put your reflexes to the trial during intense tactical gunfights. Traverse vast locations, saturated with Eastern European atmosphere and referenced from the real-life Chornobyl Exclusion Zone: the city of Prypiat, the Nuclear Station, the Jupiter plant, and many others. Solitude and desolation of these lands will be the only trustworthy companions on your foray into a dark science-fiction setting.
These versions of the classic games are fully optimized for Nintendo Switch, including, but not limited to, adapted shooting system with gyro aiming, touch interface and controls, refined visuals, and full handheld and TV mode support. Thanks to these changes, the experience in the Chornobyl Anomalous Zone will feel authentic for all players — both for those who want to refresh their memories and for new stalkers.
