The time has come, puny insects. The award-winning System Shock remake, based on the iconic 1994 sci-fi action game, is available now worldwide on consoles.
Nightdive Studios’ stunningly faithful recreation of the classic shooter/immersive sim was released to critical acclaim in 2023 for PC.
Now, console players can go toe-to-toe with SHODAN — the original rogue AI with evil intent — on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series X|S as they explore the dark depths of Citadel Station and singlehandedly try and save Earth from destruction.
The System Shock remake combines the gameplay of the original title with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface and all-new sounds and music.
Nightdive Studios worked closely with many of the original System Shock team members, including Terri Brosius, the original voice of one of gaming’s most iconic villains: SHODAN.
“For the first time ever, the incredible world of System Shock is available to console gamers,” said Stephen Kick, CEO of Nightdive Studios. “We’re so excited to introduce our take on this pioneering piece of gaming history to a whole new audience.”
