DRAGON BALL: SPARKING! ZERO RELEASES NEW GAMEPLAY FEATURE SHOWCASE VIDEO; HIGHLIGHTS GAME MODES

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO promises to be the DRAGON BALL game where players can break the heavens. In a new gameplay showcase video, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO producer Jun Furutani explains Episode Battle, Custom Battle, and offline multiplayer modes. DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO will be released on October 11, 2024, on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam®. For more information, please visit www.bandainamcoent.com/games/dragon-ball-sparking-zero.

Episode Battle is a single player mode where players can choose between 8 characters, like Goku or Vegeta, and relive some of the key battles starting from DRAGON BALL Z, up until DRAGON BALL SUPER’s Tournament of Power. Players can experience some of the cutscenes from a first-person point of view and make decisions that will have them play alternative scenarios on certain stages.

The second feature, Custom Battle, introduces a new element to experiencing DRAGON BALL as a game, where players can try their hands at a match imagined by the developers or create their own scenario.

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO will also include an offline Multiplayer mode, allowing veterans and newcomers face each other and hone their skills in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft, the developers behind the original BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO brings the series forward to a new era by harnessing the power of Unreal® Engine 5 and pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. The game brings the franchise back to the original Japanese naming convention, where the original DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI was titled DRAGON BALL Z: Sparking! The game’s gravity-defying fights capture each DRAGON BALL character’s signature destructive powers and Ki abilities showcased in stunning detail with damage capable of destroying entire parts of the arena.
