Publisher Nacon and Rogue Factor development studio announced the release date for Hell is Us during PlayStation’s February 2025 State of Play. Hell is Us releases on September 4, 2025, on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Pre-orders are now open on the PlayStation Store and will open in the coming days on Xbox and PC.
After introducing its dark and mysterious world in the previous State of Play, Hell is Us now outlines some of the stakes in its complex plot and its cryptic main character, Rémi, through brand-new footage.
This new trailer features the voice of Elias Toufexis, who lends his voice to Rémi in the English-language version of the game. Elias Toufexis is known for his major roles in television (Star Trek: Discovery, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, The Expanse) and in renowned video game franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Starfield, and especially through his role as Adam Jensen in the Deus Ex saga. Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Artistic and Creative Director on Hell is Us, had already collaborated with Elias Toufexis on this occasion, when he was in charge of the art direction of the franchise.

Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game combining melee combat, exploration and a captivating story. Through its Player-Plattering approach incentivizing players to follow their instincts rather than markers, the title aims to return to the roots of adventure games. It encourages reflection and observation by eliminating all forms of intrusive assistance. In Hell is Us, players take on the role of Rémi, a protagonist on a quest to find his origins in a country ravaged by civil war. The country's almost total autarky conceals a dark secret: the recent appearance of supernatural creatures reminiscent of ancient headstones and monuments in the region. Armed with weapons specially forged to fight these monsters, Rémi must learn how to defeat them and use his equipment wisely.
