Publisher Chorus Worldwide Games and developer Devespresso Games are pleased to announce that the award-winning Korean chilling survival horror-adventure continues the dark story introduced in The Coma, with its sequel The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters an even more terrifying experience. Released on Microsoft’s Xbox One on September 4th, 2020.
The title has won the prestigious Grand Prix and the Best Narrative Awards at the Taipei Game Show Indie Game Award 2020. The title’s atmospheric, story-driven gameplay features hand-illustrated manhwa (Korean manga) pits players against an unstoppable killer. The game, which I reviewed here for the Nintendo Switch, retails for $18.99 USD and $24.99 CAD and will hit the Xbox One marketplace on September 4th, 2020 here.
Here is a brief rundown of my thoughts regarding my time with the game:
“With a slick presentation and solid use of its antagonist, The Coma 2 is a fantastic horror game at a budget price. Its roughly 10-hour journey entertains with an interesting story, fleshed-out characters, and a richly detailed world. While I received a code to try out this game, it led me to immediately purchase the original game to dive more into the backstory of what happened before. Everything this game does contributes to an engaging horror experience that is extremely satisfying and offers up plenty of genuine jump scares that are truly effective. I’ve always been impressed by some truly amazing games that are made by very small studios, and The Coma 2 might be one of the best indie games to release this year.”
