In a recent interview with Youtuber NoRRza, a member of the Bioware staff stated that their most recent playthrough of the game was a bit over 100 hours. It was mentioned that a playthrough to really see everything the game has to offer was around 150 hours, whereas those looking to mainline the experience mentioned it could be done in about 40 hours.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a significantly tighter experience that Inquisition, driven to ensure players are getting more of a quality experience than one based solely on quantity. The game, which is structured with three acts, is more mission based than that of a open-world setting, making the adventure feel more handcrafted than what the genre has offered as of late.
Apart from the main story, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will have plenty of content around both its companions as well as its factions. Choices made by Rook, the player, will affect how companions behave during the story, with romance, friendship, and rivalry all playing a part in those choices and how they affect gameplay such as companions not using certain skills should their relationship with Rook be somewhat rocky.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard releases this October 31st on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
