Today, Nintendo released a brand new trailer for the upcoming third entry to the Xenoblade Chronicles series, and a stunning one at that. As the game was only just announced a short while ago, fans, like myself, were eagerly awaiting its release this September. However, at the end of the trailer, the release date didn’t just spell out September, but that of July, this July. Yup! Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release two months sooner than expected in a move that is sweeping social media.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the latest from Monolith Soft, a JRPG series that has gained quite the following. The new trailer reveals more of the game’s central cast, glimpses of the main story, and a ton of gorgeous combat footage showcasing the massive party size to take into battle. It also helps that even though this is on the Switch, it looks impressively jaw-dropping.
This third entry will see you playing as new characters, Noah and Mio, as they lead a team comprised of rival nations. Their adventures will shed light on the conflict ahead of them as they travel to a place called the Swordsmarch, the location seemingly showcased in the game’s cover art.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set for release on July 29th, 2022 and Nintendo has plans for a Nintendo store exclusive edition of the game as well! Pre Orders are set to go live soon and we will update this article when that date is given to us.
